Visit the historic site of one of the last surviving horsehair weavers in the world. Boyd's Horsehair Factory still uses the original looms and techniques developed over 125 years ago. Visits by appointment only. Tours for small groups are available on request.
Did You Know?Since the invention of the motorcar it has become difficult to source horsehair. It is now imported from the Far East where they still use working horses with cropped tails.
